Jannene M. Behl
You are invited to attend the February 5th meeting of the San Fernando Valley Art Club to see a demonstration of pastel painting by our guest artist Jannene M. Behl – a well-known pastel artist and teacher.
Jannene says “I adore painting the extraordinary local landscapes and sharing my enthusiasm through my teaching. I am pleased when a viewer can ‘walk into the painting.’ They are excited to be there, as I feel my work reflects a mood with which viewers are comfortable and at peace. I emphasize the importance of compositional value, the balance of warm and cool color, temperature and tonal value while maintaining focus on the area of interest. I paint and teach in beautiful Ojai at the studio of Burt Collins, my 17-year friend and mentor.”
Jannene Behl has won numerous awards and has been featured in publications such as “Artist’s Magazine”, “In Pure Color – The Best of Pastel” and “Pastel Journal Magazine.” Join us to see and learn about Jannene’s excellent pastel painting techniques.

Show Your Art in the Members Gallery
We have a Members Gallery where you can have three to six of your pieces of art on display along with a link to your own web page or internet store if you have one. This is a great way to share your work and to give people a way to contact you that does NOT include your e-mail address (unless you want it there). Many people who are interested in art visit our site to see our activities, and to see the work of our members – so take advantage of it.
Take three or more good sharp photos of your art with your digital camera or your cell phone that has a camera, and send them to Diana Hartman at [email protected] She will size it for our Members Gallery.
