June 4, 2019 Monthly Meeting
You are invited to attend the June Art Meeting sponsored by both the California Art League and the San Fernando Valley Art Club. Fealing Lin is going to demonstrate her techniques for painting watercolor portraits and, on Sunday, June 9, 2019, she will give a one-day workshop.
“Award winning watercolorist Fealing Lin was born in Taiwan and began her journey into artistic expression as a protege of renowned professor Ching-Jung Chen in Taiwan.” She continued to develop her painting style here in the United States. “Fealing combines semi-abstract strokes and impressionistic concepts to elicit life and movement in her portrait and figure paintings.” She paints in a unique way, building transparent layers that show the features of her subjects with a watercolor style that reveals them as unique individuals.
Fealing has won many awards and her work has been published in art magazines and books. She is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, and she belongs to Watercolor West and the Missouri Watercolor Society as well.
